Talbot Paramedic Foundation and Team Trace were recently presented with certificates of recognition, honoring their crucial role in the provision of emergency care equipment for residents and visitors of Talbot County.
The group, with Talbot County Emergency Services (DES) has been working together to add and update Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machines in County and Town parks. Together, they have been able to place 200 defibrillators across the county.
The Paramedic Foundation works to identify potential locations for the stations and collects funds to support the project. Team Trace, named for Kenneth Daryl “Trace” Knight, III, who passed away in 2012 from a congenital heart defect, advocates for the AED program, provides education on the importance of AED access, and fundraises.
