A native of the Bay Hundred area of Talbot County spanning numerous generations, Gary Jones is currently the Director of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Services for Shore Health System of Maryland/University of Maryland Medical System. During his tenure, he developed new services to include the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Vascular Center, The Center for Cardiovascular Fitness and Wellness, The Regional Sleep Disorders Center. In addition to those services he has primary responsibility for Cardiology, Respiratory Care, Neurodiagnostics and Chairs the Cardiac Services Steering Committee for Shore Health System. He has been the recipient of numerous professional certifications, citations, and awards. Recently he was advanced to Fellowship status with the American College of Cardiovascular Administrators. Jones was one of the original five Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) providers for Talbot County requiring up to 40 hours per week of volunteer commitment. He also served as principal instructor for Paramedic training through Maryland Institute of Emergency Medical Services Systems for five years. Jones also served on the original Board of Director for Talbot County Paramedic Foundation. He and his wife, Ruth Ann, live in Talbot County.
